My name is Karen Tyler and the pictures that I have sent are all photos of my own designs. I have over 30 different designs including cathedral window stoles, Epiphany, etc. and altar sets for the "green time." I teach banner/stole making and lecture on symbols and how art is an important part of worship. I love to give workshops and I take special orders for stoles when time allows. When commissioned I make banners and altar sets. My husband is a pastor and I love all types of needlework. I have a book proposal ready to send to publishers on "Stoles for Worship." I am very grateful that God has given me the hands and heart to celebrate Love in this way.

This is an original design for a communion Stole. The techniques used were: Round and oblong yo-yos, machine embroidery, machine applique.

This is an original stole that I designed for Palm Sunday. The techniques used were paper foundation pieced palm leaves, machine applique with gold cording couched.

This is an original designed stainglass stole for church celebrations. Cotton fabrics and gold lame were used and a narrow black cotton bias was hand appliqued. The stole is quilted.

This is an original designed Advent altar set. The altar covering is a reversible blue/purple. The two separate banners use techniques which include: Tiny Mirrors from India used in center of the candle flames and applique.
